Re: STUBBORN FH
I'm all about the DIY kinda gifts - I made FH a photo book from Shutterfly last Christmas and he loved it. Said it was the best gift I could ever give him.
It wasn't expensive - but the amount it costs doesn't matter when you take the time to put something together that is all about the 2 of you.
FH is big into pictures - not sure if yours is but they do have other items you can make for him other then the books.

Yea, I have made him 3 calendars because he loved the first one and has made it mandatory for every year to get a new one. I know he spent like 350 on my gift and I am hello that two people at the wedding? lol
I am just so like OMG!!!!!!

LOL ohh man - yea, if you do the calendar thing then I guess the photo book would be totally overkill.
$350 - wth did he get you?!?! LOL
My FH is the HARDEST person to shop for - for every occasion that involves a gift I have a prob. We said the same thing that we will do Christmas small, which I feel like that I didn't go overboard.
I find that men in general are hard to shop for - maybe do a 'date night' for him - go and do all the things he loves to do. Tix to a sporting event/concert (or the like), dinner at his favorite place - you can even make it a little X rated towards the end LOL

Re: STUBBORN FH
we have this thing with penguins. They say once a penguin find its soulmate it never loves another or mate with another - something to that affect. so we are big on penguins ( we have an ice sculptor at the wedding planned with two penguins kissing) so Zales.com has this blk and white diamond Penguins pennant- I love it but lets be real i dont need it lol
as for what to get him, I am thinking BOn Jovi tix

If he likes Bon Jovi, get him tickets to see Rock of Ages. You can sign up for free to get discounts thru Playbill.com, and tickets are only $77.50 for weeknights. It's the straight man's musical, and you will love it, trust me.

Re: STUBBORN FH
This was my exact problem tonight! FH and I set a limit of $300 for our Christmas gifts this year. Today we were discussing presents and he goes I went over a little bit but I don't want you to be angry with me. So as the conversation progressed he finally tells me he spent about $500!!!! Seriously I don't think he realizes the expenses that are going to be coming! lol He will wish he didn't spend the extra $200.

MOH is pissy enough at me. She'll hate having to sit through a 'musical.' We should double date with the guys.
