Stuck between two...CHCC of CB??
So as many of you know I went to visit 3 halls yesterday; Floral Terrace; Crest Hollow & Chateau Briand
I had been to a wedding at Floral Terrace several years ago and know they throw an amazing party. However not thinking it’s the right fit for us. Plus we would need to have the ceremony on site; and I wasn’t too excited with the ceremony space they showed me and the opportunity for pictures might be limited since we’re doing the ceremony on site.
I went to Crest Hollow & loved it!! It’s beautiful there!! I love the Emerald Room for the reception. It’s got a great layout and like that it walks right out to the pool area. They’re having an amazing promotion right now to showcase their newly renovated outdoor space. I am sold on this place just from the outside! It’s absolutely gorgeous! Their minimum is 125 people which is the amount that I want to have not necessarily going over that number. One other thing is that my date is in November so I really don’t know how much I’d be able to utilize the outdoor space ? Would it be worth it to book a place where I’m blown away by their outside (more so then the actual room to be honest) to only get stuck doing everything inside since the weather is unpredictable?? Also everything is extra-to use the outside ceremony it’s an extra $200 (and extra for the CH outside but I wouldn’t do that in November anyway). Chair covers are extra-I was told $5per chair; but that she could work with me on that. I also asked about bottles of wine on the table and was told that was extra; but could be worked out. Their lobby is very spacious-Unfortunately I actually forgot to ask about a hospitality hour for early arriving guests…
I also went to Chateau Briand-love it there too!! Love the lobby and can just envision all my guests walking in and being greeted during the hospitality time. The outdoor “south beach” themed space is gorgeous too! I loved walking under the branches they have draped w/white flowers; the entire outdoor space is amazing and the BM I met with raved about how many November ceremonies they perform out there. Now I don’t know about this; cause CHCC was saying it would probably be too cold to use their outside space. Maybe if just for the ceremony people can deal w/being a little chilly? I’ll have to find out from some past November brides how their weather has been. Anyway; when I saw the indoor ceremony room at Chateau Briand I thought it was beautiful! I loved the draping from the ceiling; I loved everything (Davinci room I believe)! We would be using the Saturina for the reception so we’d get the Promonade room for the Cocktail Hour. I really loved all the rooms she showed me. And I loved how there really weren’t any windows so for our daytime reception; the room could look dark and people can party like it was nighttime! Plus we could illuminate the room with candles & make it look really nice! Other than that we really wouldn’t need to add any extra décor to any of the rooms. They were only slightly more than CHCC but their minimum is only 100. Which would be good because I really only want to invite 125 people. And if I can get less than that than good! LOL! Oh; also you get SO much food!!! PLUS their chairs are those pretty gold ones (i love them) so they wouldn't requre chair covers; and when i asked about wine bottles on the table they're gonna throw them in at not extra $$.
I really can’t decide between the two! I plan on going back to CHCC next week for their showcase; hopefully a second look around will help me make a decision.
I’m torn b/c I LOVE the outside of CHCC; but love the rooms at Chateau Briand. And I’m really thinking that for a November wedding; there’s a chance it might be cold and/or raining and we won’t even get to be outside anyway so I should focus more on the rooms. PLUS that’s where we’re going to spend the entire reception. Also-CHCC wanted $2,500 for their deposit which I thought was very high. Floral Terrace only wanted $500; and CB only $1,000. I like to hold on to my $$; not sure I like the idea of having to dish out so much up front.
UGH not sure which one to go with! At this point FH is like just pick a place since i've been looking for so long (slowly)!!
