Stuck in Port Washington

I work in Port Washington and HR just made an announcement that we can leave if we want to, but it's not even worth it. Route 25a is closed, Searingtown Road is not even moving, and there's utter gridlock all throughout Port Washington, Roslyn, and Manhasset. My co worker left at 2:00 and she just called to say she JUST got to Northern Boulevard in Manhasset. People are turning around and coming back. It's horrible.

Anyone else stuck?

Re: Stuck in Port Washington

...I left at 1:30 and I made it home in 1 hour. There was a really bad accident on Searingtown road, Northern blvd was bumper to bumper...So A woman at the light next to me told me to take the side streets...and I did that and ended up on Willis avenue...After that I made a right down another side street and finally got out of the north shore. I couldnt believe how much traffic there was......

I really hope by now you were able to leave NPD.

Re: Stuck in Port Washington

Unfortunately I live out east and there's no direct way to get out there by train. I'm going to try to leave around 6:00. Thanks all.
