Stuff floating in my water glass - HELP!!

Last night I poured myself a glass of water from our water cooler in my kitchen. I went to drink the water and there were what looked like white fuzz balls floating around in the water. I dumped it out thinking its the glass and tried again... same thing happened. Its still happening and water is the only thing I have to drink in my house since I am boycotting the store. (Dont want to go more than I have to)

Anyone EVER have this happen to them and HOW DO I FIX IT??

PS It was the end of our 5 gal. and FH put a new one on there and its still happening

HELP - IM THIRSTY!!!!

Maybe it is mold? You should try taking out the bottle and cleaning the inside of the cooler.

I forgot to add - Its in the cold water not the hot.

Hmm...Is there some kind of filter where the water comes out of? Maybe it needs to be replaced? Have you been completly rinsing the soap off of the cups when you do the dishes? I don't know...sounds odd.

I am only thinking maybe mold because it is white and fuzzy and it gets moist in there.
Is there a way to take the cooler apart and look inside?

Hmmm... I would love to take the cooler apart but there are 5 gals of water sitting on top just waiting to be drunk. I dont have anything big enough to put another 5 gals into

I think mold can grow in hot or cold. Like in the fridge???

It is not in the hot at all? Does the hot come from a different spout?

Well, the hot water might sterilize the spout every time you use it. You know, like you boil things if you want o sterilize them? Is there a number you can call? Maybe it's a common problem.

Nope no filter. To check if it was the glasses (dishwashered) I filled a water bottle with the water and there were things floating still.

What brand is the cooler? - they may have a troubleshooting website.

did you touch the little white fuzzy things? Could they be ice crystals? If you touch them, and they melt on your hand, that's probably what it is. That would explain why it doesn't show up in the hot.
Wanted to add, why don't you pour a glass, and leave it for a few minutes. If it's ice, it will melt.

They are gone!!!!! I feel like such an a$$!!! It must have been ice that formed at the end of the last bottle and lasted into the new bottle... THANK YOU!!!!
