I didn't get the 'spacers' but when I got them on (both at the same time), my top teeth were hitting the bottom braces so they stuck this blue glue crap on my back teeth that hardens so my top jaw didn't come down all they way...all that touched when I ate was the blue stuff to my top teeth. My jaw was KILLING Me for days because I couldn't close it all the way, not to mention EATING./...I only had two teeth that would touch! THAT was the WORST!....
Hmmmmm,I'm almost thinking it may be the same thing. I'll have to let you know when they do it to my teeth. Thanks for letting me know what I'm getting myself into though......
sorry! If it IS...I suggest that you do some shopping in the immediate area for an hour or so and see how it feels, I happen to do that and I couldn't take it that I went back to have them grind the glue down a bit, I was getting lock jaw!

Ugh I had spacers AND I had to wear a nightbrace (that crazy metal band around the mouth).
Yes you will loose weight but make sure you are still getting nutrients. Have Bill make you milkshakes but with protein powder too.
It's worth it though! I get the most compliments on my eyes and my smile!
