Does getting your hair colored at the salon last longer than dying your hair yourself???

I'd have to say yes, but not really sure.
My experience w/ hair dye is professionally installed highlights once in middle school and a failed attempt at turning the tips purple in college (the bleach didn't work...go figure).
But judging from others I'd say professionally done lasts longer.

it depends sometimes it might...for me honestly its just nice sometimes to not have ur skin dyed by doing it urself lol like its def not as messy lol...and the products they use i feel like usually do last longer

I am pretty sure it does - the creams that they use for coloring your hair in the salon is really high end and you normally cannot buy it without a hair dresser's license. That and you know for sure that the color coverage will be even and blended... Are you thinking about doing it yourself?

I usually dye my own hair. I do it like every 6 months, I'm debating it. I'm not sure if I want to part with my $$$ for a professional job.

I don't dye my hair enough to say one way or the other but I do know to keep the dye off your skin put a small amount of cream around you hair line and your ears...this way if any gets on you can easily wipe it off

i do my hair myself, but because it's so long and thick, I end up having to buy 2-3 bottles. For me the color usually last around 3 weeks before my roots start to become noticeable.
I do plan on getting my hair dyed professionally 2 weeks before, just because I like being pampered LOL

My cousin is a beautician so she dies my hair for free but she does say that the box color isn't that great. You can go to a beaut y supply store and buy the dye they use in the salon for pretty cheap and dye it yourself. Just ask one of the workers to tell you exactly how to mix it.

i also think salon last longer ... although i let FH dye my hair RED and i felt like it lasted forever!!!!!
