ho wlong do you have to wait untill you take a preganancy test after you did the deed? i knew to this lol and everyone is giving me different answers..

The time between ovulation and AF is 14 days. Most pregnancy tests you can take the day AF is due or after. There are some early detection tests that say you can test up to a few days before. If you're late, take a test. If you just ovulated, wait until AF is due. I know I have spent a fortune on tests only to get AF the next day! Can you tell I've been doing this a while? LOL. And there are no stupid questions....

The 14 days is sort of an average and generally assumes a 28 day cycle with ovulation in the middle - the time after ovulation can be longer or shorter than 14 days. Unless you're charting temps or using an ovulation predictor kit it's hard to know exactly when you're ovulating. I've seen posts where women get a positive result as early as 8-9 days after ovulation (not the norm) and others that don't get a positive until a week after AF was supposed to show.
