STUPID QUESTION

Do you invite Co-workers to a bridal shower???? Does FH go to the bridal shower??????????

Re: STUPID QUESTION

It depends on the shower, typically FH does NOT attend, but can show up at the end to see all the gifts and say hello to everyone. Sometimes families will hold a combined shower that both the bride to be and groom to be attend and male and female family and friends can attend.

As for co-workers - only if they are being invited to the wedding!

Depends....are they invited to your wedding? If yes, then they should be invited to the shower. If no, then they shouldn't be.

Re: STUPID QUESTION

I was thinking the same thing, but I work with to many women to invite them all...so I actually asked one of my co-workers and she told me not to worry about it because they will have something for me in the office...(they do baby showers and everything all the time here).
As far as FH, I would like mine to be there so he can enjoy it with me...(as fun as they can be)

I went to a jack and jill shower last weekend which was different but kind of fun.

What about co-workers' wives? I feel weird not inviting one of them, since I've met her twice. But is that enough 'knowing' to be invited to a shower? This stuff is so complicated!

Re: STUPID QUESTION

I invited some of my co-workers to my shower, mainly because I'm good friends with the ladies I invited and they were invited to my wedding.

All except 1 didn't come to my shower, but that's because it turned out they threw me a shower here at work two weeks later.

They will do a 'work' shower at work for me.

So probably not.

If not, I would only invite the peole invite to my wedding.

I think whoever you invite to the wedding should receive an invite to the shower. Some co-workers throw you a shower at work, it is then that they decide to go to the one your family gives you.

Re: STUPID QUESTION

typically FH does not attend bridal shower. it's usually a girls only event, but i've been to a few where FH's were there. you can definitely invite co-workers...really who you want to invite is up to you. you can have differnet groups of ppl or if you want it more intimate, just close friends/family. all up to you!

I disagree. I think it depends on your relationship to the weding guests. I think the only people you should invite to the shower are people you actually know well (your friends, family, and maybe co-workers) and close members of DH's family. I don't think it's necessary to invite people to a shower simply b/c they will be at the wedding. I'd feel strange being invited to a shower for someone I barely knew.

I invited 3 close co-workers of mine and my DH dropped me off there stayed for about 15 minutes left and came back at the end to pick me and our presents up.

It depends how close you are with the coworkers. I am having some of mine invited. Usually FH brings you to the shower greets everyone and then comes back later to carry everything

IF the co-workers are being invited to the wedding, you should extend an invite to the shower.

IF the shower is a Jack & Jill shower, then yes, FH goes. If not, then he usually makes an appearance with @ 1/2 hour remaining.

Re: STUPID QUESTION

My FH is bringing me to my shower, but is not going to stay. He's going to come back at the end to thank everyone and help with the gifts.

I am very close to a number of my co-workers. They're invited to the wedding, and the shower. I wouldn't invite them unless they're invited to the wedding AND you're friendly with them outside of work...

Re: STUPID QUESTION

I am only having several co workers at my wedding, they will be invited to the shower (they are all women). Plus we always have a work shower where everyone can be involved, we even have them for the men in my office that get married.

I will be lucky if my FH even walks into my shower, i cant even get him to wait in the salon with me to get my eyebrows threaded for 5 mins. I am insisting he comes at the end to thank everyone...
