Ok I HAVE to do my e-party invites, they should've been done already actually...Problem is my printer wasn't working, so i took my dads printer but i don't know what he did with the wires and we can't find it...anyways i go to bestbuy today, they had usb but not adapter so i go to buy a new printer...But i asked the guy first about doing the addresses for invites and it coming out with the gold writing, he said that it wouldn't work....Ok NOW WHAT!!! i am going crazy, and it's probably so simple and stupid...What printers can do it or what should I do...Should I just go somewhere to have the addresses done...I need to get them out this week.

Oh I dont know. I did my e-party invites all on my computer too (i bought a kit from Micheals) and they came out great. they were done on plain white envelopes in black ink, but I dont understand what you are looking for. If you are trying to print in color (gold), you can probably just get a photo quality printer and buy color ink and try it that way. Honestly, the best thing to do would be buy it from Walmart and if it doesnt do what you want, you can return it (they take anything back without charging a restocking fee).

thanks...yeah its the gold writing that do come on most envelopes...i already have the return address on them in gold so wanna do the same color...Yeah i went to bestbuy and honestly they were no help, i asked if i bought this certain printer and used the color inkjet it came with if it has the gold color and most of them said they don't know and one guy said that no it wouldn't...
I don't know i thought that gold would come out with a photo quality printer and it probably does, but didn't want to buy a printer and it wont work.

Metallic ink is not something all printers can do because it requires a special ink cartridge. To find a printer that will print gold, look at the ink cartridges FIRST and find one that is actually gold, then see what printer it goes with.

No, infact thats what i am most likely going to do...I don't have time today to run around and look for something that i might not even find...So someone suggested I buy a gold calligraphy pen and handwrite them, so looks like that is what i will do...Thanks

Also wanted to say that you are the ONLY person who knew the answer to this...I was at the store yesterday and asked so many of the workers in the computer section and NOBODY knew...I wish i had more time otherwise i would go searching for what you suggested...but thanks alot
