Stupid question about STAR.......

How do you know when you get accepted for Basic STAR???????? Can u look on mynassauproperty.com and tell that way? I am so confused. We applied last winter, and I am not sure when it will be applied and how we will know, maybe the mortgage payment will go down a little bit...,, yeah right wishful thinking.... HELP TIA!

I called the county a few weeks ago and asked about it b/c my bil said he got something in the mail with a $ amount and the woman told me we were accepted and that we were getting 900 something and that my mortagage company should get something in a week or so. I called the mortagage company about two weeks later and they still never got anything. I never called again (thats tomorrows project).

PS the Star isnt helping my mortagage they calculated my escrow account more so it actually went up about 100 bucks a month to make up for last year.

I suppose you could call the countys assessors office and find out.
