Stupid question re: thank yous

I am trying to get started on my thank-yous for my shower. Do I sign them from both FH and I? Do I address them just to the woman who came to the shower or her and her husband for the gift? Thanks!!!

good question!! i am wondering this too!

I think you should def. sign it from you and fi.
and i would inagine you to address the card to whoever the gift was signed from.

some gifts were just signed from a woman and some were signed from the husband and wife...

I just signed it myself and not FH's name. I was so up in the air about that also, but it did not sound right when I wrote 'Thank you for coming to my shower......' and then signed it with both names.

I did put, 'Donnie and I can't wait to see you at the Wedding' in each card or something like that.

I only signed my name
But my gifts were all addressed to ME!! Not him LOL

I'm going to sign them just my name... the Shower is just for the Bride (which is why you get some sexy lingerie too )

You'll sign from both of you when it's Engagement Gifts and of course for the wedding

I signed them with both of our names especially since FH stayed for the bridal shower and got to videotape and see all our gifts. Also, all the items are not only the bride's gifts, they are for the groom as well. I had the thank you wording read as it was from both of us.

As for how I determined who to address the card to, I looked at each card to see how each guest signed it (i.e., with or w/o the man's name).

I think I'm just going to sign it from me and address it to the woman who gave the gift to me. You KNOW she's the one who put all the though and effort into getting the gift anyway!
