isn't it known as the tree of knowledge of good and evil or something like that? All of my books are in boxes!

Actually, my DH thinks that the APPLE is simply an analogy to say that what really happened is that the snake convinced Eve to have pre-marital sex with Adam, and that's why they had to cover themselves to hide their nudity, and childbearing became painful, etc. etc. because they didn't wait for God to marry them before they had sex.

yes it is. And I was wrong, they both eat it. Eve eats it then give sit to Adam & he eats it . In the king James version it is only reffered to as 'fruit'
