STUPID scrapbook question

I've never doen scrapbooking, but I made these cards for halloween with scrabooking kind of materials/style, so i thought it might be something fun to do. I bougth a 'scrapbook' with all paper pages.

My question is I always see scrapbook pages as loose. Do you make them first on a separate piece of 12x12 paper or cardstock and then glue them in? Or do I have to buy one with plastic sleeves? With the plastic sleeves, how do you do things that pop u, or envelopes, etc? Also, if you have to use the plastic one, what can I do with the one I have now?

Thanks! you ladies are great!

Re: STUPID scrapbook question

Let me start off with no question is stupid. YOur question is a valid one and I had the same questions when I started and was very confused by everything when I started.

The scrapbooks with the paper pages, I can't recall what the proper names for them are, but I have never used that particular kind.

The ones with the plastic protective sleeving is preferred since it will keep your pictures safe from people touching them. They are call Top Loading Albums. You can add extra pages to those albums if you need to. When you finish designing your layout, you take it and slip it through the top and the plastic will protect the pictures and layout. If you have flips or anything like that you just have to make slits in the plastic where needed.

I have bought some nice albums at AC Moore. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to FM me, I would be more then happy to answer anything.
