Can anyone share their experiences with Subaru cars??? Some of their models seem to be very reasonably priced, and it's got my interest .. I'm just not too sure how they do over the long-run .. I do a lot of driving, so I'd want a car that can handle the stress, and I like that all their models have all-wheel drive, and many are equipped with power moon roofs, standard .. that's awesome!!

Never owned one, but I have heard good things about them... and they are great in the snow (i think all or most are all wheel drive).

My aunt and Uncle swear by them. It is the only car that they buy now. They have had many of them over the years and they all turned out to be quality, and reliable cars. They were even involved in a roll over accident in a station wagon where they went off the road and landed in a ditch. They both got out of the car with just minor scratches.
The great thing about Subaru other than its build quality is that all their cars have AWD. That really comes in hany in the rain and in the snow.
My other friend had a subaru gl for 5 years and it proved to be an excellent car. She had purchased it with 78k miles on it and had it until the car had way over 120k miles before she decided to buy a new car.
And finally my other friend had a 1983 subaru that he bought for $100 and sold it with 200k miles for $200. That car ran excellent and im sure it is still around somewhere....

My parents had a Subaru for years; it is a very good car. I am not familiar with the latest models, however.

If I could afford it I would love to have a WRX Wagon or the Subaru Outback Wagon. Very hot cars...I even like the look of the forester.

Consumer Reports recently voted one of the Suburu's SUV's as the most reliable car. Suburus are supposed to be very good cars and safe as well. I don't remember hearing anything bad about them.

My FH, who knows a ton about cars, is dying to get the WRX, and exactly for the reason you mentioned - because of the AWD. His current car is rear-wheel drive and is terrible in the snow and rain.

my dad has a legacy and really likes it b/c of subaru's have all wheel drive, and a lot of cars dont he has not had any problems with it

I had a Forester and I loved it. I would probably still have it but it was a lease. Im definately going to look at Subaru for our next car.
