Today I went for my possibly fifth make-up trial. It came out okay but I wasn't completely happy - it was only okay. Then we went to the florist for a sample centerpiece and it wasn't what I wanted. Partially my fault for not giving them colors more specifically but whatever. Then my mom and I went to about 5 different stores looking for flowergirl dresses that are black and white and could not find ONE that I liked. At least we went to Crest Hollow to look at our party room and it was done for a party and looked nice. But I am so upset- I cannot find a make-up artist, flowergirl dresses or a centerpiece I like! I feel so disappointed today!!

I got my flowergirl dress from this site. If you check out Ebay..they sell on there also. I won the dress for less than it was on the website. Their dresses are not that expensive and they have some with white with black sashes. Hope this helps..

I also had a hard time finding a makeup artist-- I don't usually use much makeup so I always thought I looked so done up --not like myself. Also these trials were starting to add up.
I found someone(Michelle) who works at Bloomingdales at the Bobbi Brown counter that worked out great. I just went to Bloomingdales in NYC for the trial(it was free). In my opinion the day of makeup is a little pricey but I least my makeup looks nice and natural.

Merf...you are using Pedestals right honey?
Do not worry about the centerpieces. They will do it and re-do it for you over and over again. I HATED my first two...I thought they were horrible. But they kept doing them for me until I got what I wanted. Also, their samples are never as good as the real thing, my centerpieces came out better than I ever thought they could.
Just wanted to put you at ease, they are great to work with, no worries!! It will all work out!
And, my flowergirl dress came from Caliope on Merrick Road. They are a tad on the pricey side, but on par with everyone else's prices with the dresses they carry. They have a lot of US Angels dresses that come in every color under the sun, including black and white. I think my flowergirl dress was in the vicinity of 150-200.
