Do we really have to go into queens to get our Marriage Certificate????? If not where did you go?

Why would you need to go to Queens?
I live in Suffolk and got mine at the TOwn of Hempstead town hall.
You can go to any town hall to get the license.
Just READ the requirements - each town is different. I found that out the hard way!!!

You should go to any town hall in the county to which you are getting married. For example, I am getting married in at East Wind, which is in Suffolk County. So I can go to any town hall - brookhaven, huntington, islip etc. to get the marriage license.

We were in and out in 10 minutes at Babylon Town Hall.

brookhaven would have been the closest to us but we went to queens bc dh had sent his birth certificate away for something else and in queens, you only had to show your drivers license.. and we didn't wanna get another print of his birth certificate made so we made a fun afternoon outta it lol
