Suffolk County Photographers

Please help
I have read so many read recommendations for photographers, unfortunately most are to far for us to get to. I travel a lot for work and I am only free on the weekends or late nights so driving to Nassau is very time consuming and exhausting. Can anyone recommend a photographer east of Ronkonkoma? I know of the big studios such as ADA, but what i am really looking for is a photographer that has sort of a photojournalistic style as well as traditional. We are also on a budget so having an option of not doing albums would be great. We are planning on meeting with Nick G, but needed some other options as well. Thanks!!!!!!

I highly recommend Thomas Paul, he is in Ronkonkoma. We also saw T & T, in Ronkonkoma, and Daniel S. Krieger in Mount Sinai.

I have seen T P's work and it is very nice...just make sure you give him a list of things and people you want photographs of. My friend just got married and used him and he didn't take any pictures during the cocktail hour, and there wasn't shot of just her and her FSIL who was a BM and there was only one of just her and her own sister who was her MOH. Don't get me wrong the pictures he did take were beautiful she was just disappointed that there was a lot he seemed to overlook. She said on the day of there was so much going on she didn't think to ask him to take these shots...

But if you're looking for more of a photo journalistic style check out this site... www.becreativephotography.com Their work is AMAZING. They're located in Jersey which is kind of a pain if you travel a lot but maybe they could meet with you on a day they're shooting something on Long Island if they have time before or after.

check out Mark Kauffman he's a vendor on here. He is located in Port Jeff. He's AWESOME and his work is great...he doesn't try to sell a package. He's got a traditional photojournalistic style. he's def worth checking out...his albums that he has in his office are AMAZING and he will work with you on whatever budget you have. He's waay awesome!

You should really call Imagine Studios. They are based in Hauppauge. They are a smaller company -- husband and wife team. Lia is the photog and her work is amazing. Search on here for past Imagine brides and the work speaks for itself. Also, Imagine just got a really, really good rating in the Best of Knot for 2009. FM me if you want more info!
