Suffolk County Sales Tax

Tommorow I make my final payment adn my hall called to remind me of the visit. They also said that since the Suffolk County sales tax has changed my per person rate has gone up by $.15. I said but I am locked in to that price since I have a contract. They told me that Suffolk County law states that taxes on services are applied when rendered and not when the contract is signed. It is only the difference of about $25 but I just would have prefered to know earlier. Anyone else experience this? Jen

Suffolk County Sales Tax

Jen, WE had an adjustment on our final bill due to the tax rate increase. I didn't even think to question it...maybe we should have. Ohhh well,,,everything is paid for now. Ohh by the way, I meet one of your future in laws, your FI Aunt Peggy. She is a teacher at the technical school I went to for Medical billing. She and I started talking about weddings and she mentioned to me that she was going to a wedding on Nov 4th out east. I asked her what the names were of the couple getting married and she told me Jen and Ken!! I started to laugh and told her that I 'knew' you from an online chat area for Long Island Brides. Its a small world huh?? Well good Luck to you. I will be on my honeymoon when you get married. Enjoy! Lisa
