Suffolk GTG - We had a great time.

Are we still on for this Saturday? We had decided 1pm at the Cheesecake Factory at the Smithhaven Mall.

I am starting a new thread to see who is still in.

Who is bringing their FH?

Re: Suffolk GTG - This Saturday

I'm changing my response to Yes!!!

Since we know the weather will be spectacular, I shoudln't have any problem getting there (the only caveat is if it rains and FH and step-father can't go play golf).

Can't wait to see you all!

I thought I was coming and then FH got jealous and didn't understand why he couldn't come meet the ladies I'm always talking to. I told him he would be the only groom there and it it a BRIDE luncheon and he said 'oh' and proceeded to pout so I don't know. Maybe I will find some sort of project for him so I can sneak out for a bit. I guess that means I'm still a maybe.

I'm still in...FH said he wanted to go out and do something since it's going to be nice, but he NEVER wakes up early enough to do that, so I'm sure I can still come, even if just for a bit. We may BBQ at West Meadow at night, so I can keep him busy marinating souvlaki during the day

Is it supposed to be nice, because weather.com is saying rain?

Christina, why don't you bring him? Would that be weird for you?

My FH wouldn't like being around a bunch of girls talking about wedding stuff, but if yours would, he should join...

I kind of didn't think he was welcome. I figured it was a ladies luncheon type of thing. He just feels like he never gets to see me I think and doesn't want to lose me. He's a friendly guy. Was I wrong in thinking that it was a girls only event?

Not that I've ever been to a GTG (I'm shy, dammit), but I know Gina409 brought her FH to one!

I think its ok if you bring him. No one will care. If he is ok being around all that estrogen.

I am shy too, but I am sucking it up and not only going but attempting to organize it. I am nervous about it, but I am going. So come, you can talk to me.

I think if I tell him that he will be the ONLY guy there he will either say go or why do you have to go and start sulking again. *sigh* no one else's FH's feel like being social? No men want to come talk to one another about boats and power tools? I'll give a firmer answer by tomorrow. Tonight it the bridal showcase and perhaps he'll have enough girlie stuff by Saturday.

Aw! Well thanks. I actually can't go this Sunday (my mom's birthday is yesterday but we are celebrating then), and anyway I live in Queens ... but thank you for appealing to my shyness!

In the winter my FH might have come, but not this time of year. He will be at my house, probably working on boats and motors with power tools. He makes extra money fixing boat motors for people, so I doubt he would want to lose the middle of the day. But when he gets home tonight I will ask him.

If FH isn't golfing with my step-father, I'll bring him along. He's SUPER shy. Complete opposite of me. I'm not shy at all.

Don't worry -- it will be a very friendly experience!!! We're all old friends here anyway!

Your FH shouldn't be weird about coming along. It's totally no big deal either way, and we'd love to have him along. (I know I speak for everyone when I saw that.) We're not clucking hens or anything.

I mentioned it to him over dinner and he said 'Sure, why not' and I said 'You may be the only guy there' and he said 'Are you all going to be like...talking about your periods and pillow fighting and stuff' and I said 'no...' and he said 'ok good cheesecake factory's good' He's not so shy apparently. Still feel free to bring your pillows to hit him with.
