I mentioned it to him over dinner and he said 'Sure, why not' and I said 'You may be the only guy there' and he said 'Are you all going to be like...talking about your periods and pillow fighting and stuff' and I said 'no...' and he said 'ok good cheesecake factory's good' He's not so shy apparently. Still feel free to bring your pillows to hit him with.
Maybe I should tell my FH to come then. I think he'd rather poke his eyes out. In either event, he can deal for a few hours.

Not that I've ever been to a GTG (I'm shy, dammit), but I know Gina409 brought her FH to one!
Aww dont be shy. I went to my FIRST gtg recently and had a blast. I never went to one and had a great time!

Re: Suffolk GTG - This Saturday
Are a lot of girls going to bring their FHs now for real?
I know mine won't come, or he'll intentionally be so late that we miss it, so I'll probably be solo. I don't want to feel awkward. Luckily I also have an H+M certificate burning a hole in my pocket.

Re: Suffolk GTG - This Saturday
I REALLY hope I will be able to make it on Saturday. I've never been to a GTG, and I'd love to actually do it for once! What time do you all think you'll be there till?
I have a drs appointment in Nassau at 12, so I may not be able to get there until 2 or 3 (depending on traffic and how long they make me wait at the drs).

My FH won't come. Even if he wasn't playing golf with my step-father, he wouldn't want to go, and then I'd feel bad and want to stay with him.
In any event, I love talking with people and getting to know people in person! Plus I thought I'd bring my bag o wedding goodies We'll see... I should print out a sample program so I can get y'all's feedback...

Re: Suffolk GTG - This Saturday
that's a good question..
SO if we're coming from our dance lesson, can i just bring my FH too?? and what time will you all be there until? our lesson is at 11 and it's in Plainview...it's an hour lesson, so by the time we get back it might be closer to 2... but you should still be there right?? unless you're all really quick eaters :o) i really really really want to go!!!
ETA: he could also drop me off and go to the mall. he's a pretty independent guy so if FHs aren't supposed to go, he'll find something to do for an hour or whatever :o) i just need to know, so we can make a plan!!

Where are we meeting? Out in front, inside lobby? Should we exchange cells or something? All wear our tshirts so we know who we are?

I think we'll be able to find each other pretty easily. I know what most of you look like, and we'll be all the blushing brides-to-be.
How many are we going to be total? Michelle, are you making a reservation of some sort, or getting there early to secure a table for our estimated group #?

Re: Suffolk GTG - This Saturday
Tomorrow I will make a new coming list and count up the number.
My plan was to call first thing Sat morning and give them a heads up, but maybe I will call them tomorrow and see what they suggest.

Lets meet inside the lobby. I will FM a few of you with my cell tomorrow so you have it just in case. I don't want to post it here for ALL to read. I think it will be easy to find the gathering LIW group. But just in case I can make a little sign.
