I'm looking for a list of suffolk county hotels to contact...preferably not too far from Holbrook and in a range of prices. Anyone know of any good ones? and, include any info you might have....your block rate, if they have a bar, etc.
Thank you!!

Re: Suffolk hotels
we booked at the holiday inn express in happauge....book 10+ rooms and they offer a free shuttle to/from the hall...also, they offer a banquet room for overnight (afterparty!!) for $200! good deal. (doesn't include food or drink, just the room). It's right off the LIE service road at 57-ish--10 mins from holbrook! $150/night for the rooms.
edit: oh, also, mom and i went to check it out the other day, and they're in the middle of redoing it. new carpets, drapes, wallpaper, mattresses, etc. should be done by March/April, they said.

I am going to see the Hilton Garden On Vets Hwy Saturday. You can call Christina @ 567-5100. It was a pretty good Deal.... FYI. My G/F stayed at the Holiday Inn on Vets in September for her wedding & she said that the rooms smelt a bit. You may want to check it out

Re: Suffolk hotels
We are using The Marriott Islandia (I am a Villa bride too)!
We had so many problems with the Courtyard Marriott and the Hampton Inn Brookhaven so I wouldn't even call them.
We are a large block so I understand some of the issues but apparently the people at those two hotels mistook me for an idiot and didn't fully hear me when I told them that I source hotels and sign hotel rooming contracts as part of my job. And that trying to put things past me was not in their best interest. (Sorry I am still bitter about them wasting so much of my time!)
The Marriott Islandia was excellent. they gave us a great rate, and are working with our block. The only thing they don't provide is shuttles but our group size none of the hotels would.
FM me if you want more info.

Re: Suffolk hotels
yea, i called hampton inn yesterday but they didn't have rooms they could block, just had available rooms in their standard rate.
i also called the hilton in melville and they wanted me to sign a contract that said 90% of blocked rooms would be booked, or we would be responsible. that's not normal, right?

Re: Suffolk hotels
I got married at Lombardi's on the Sound and our guests had a choice of two hotels. The Holiday Inn in Stonybrook which also provided a shuttle at that time. And Danfords in Port Jeff. Both hotels allowed me to block off 10 rooms at a time and when they were all booked I could block off additional rooms. Hope that helps!

Re: Suffolk hotels
We blocked the Holiday Inn at MacAuthur Airport. Our guests will be paying $120 a night. And there is a bar there. They are normally opened until 2 but you can discuss having them keep it open until 4am.

Re: Suffolk hotels
All i have to say is - good luck lol! This was something i had so much trouble with. I can tell you that most of the hotels gave me the impression that they didnt want my business.
So we blocked rooms with the Hilton Garden Inn, Bohemia. There so close to your hall and they are super nice there. Ask for Cindy Morris or Christina. This was the only hotel that actually told me they wanted my business and asked what it would take for me to block rooms with them.
And personally for one of the newer hotels in the area - their price was the best and think my friends and family will be happy there.
