My mom is planning my shower (I'm supposed to have nothing to do w/ it!) but is having a really hard time finding a location. Will be about 50 women in August, so she wants 'something summery, not a dark restaurant.' Any suggestions? TIA!

Re: Suffolk shower location
I'm having mine at Three Village Inn probably.
minimum 50 people.
It's inexpensive for a Sat or Sun brunch. In Stony Brook, right on the water..and the room is beautiful - tons of natural lighting from the big windows overlooking the water.
Also try Danfords in Port Jeff - that was our second choice but we didn't like that it is now a nightclub at night. Also beautiful with lots of natural lighting right on the water.

Re: Suffolk shower location
Funny that you mention Danfords...I'm staying there the night before the wedding so we considered it for a shower, but hated the nightclub aspect as well.
Will def check out 3VInn...forgot it was renovated! Thx!

If I think of anything else I'll let you know. I live in that area... like down the block from Danfords - and I have to say personally, I feel like it lost a lot of it's charm turning into 'Aqua' at night.

Re: Suffolk shower location
lol, I TOTALLY agree. We live super close, too, so it's not as quaint to us as it is to others. Rehearsal dinner is at 5th season so that's out. Miller Beach Surf Club is booked. Let me know if anything else occurs to you. Thx!

I was going to mention Old Field Club also because I know they do showers. I have a bunch of pics in my album.

Re: Suffolk shower location
Blackwell's in Wading River. The room in the back has tons of windows that open up onto the golf course. Very bright and will definitely fit 50 people (I had 60 at my shower and it was fine).
