My mom and I are going dress shopping at Sugarplum tomorrow. Has anyone been there? Or have other suggestions?

My mom got her dress there and the dress she wore to my brothers wedding. They are very nice, good selection, little pricey, but what isnt.
Also try My Daughters Wedding II in Great Neck.

My FMIL got her dress for her other son's wedding there a few years ago and it was gorgeous! they have very nice things you should be happy. Also I agree about My Daughters Wedding in Great Neck. I haven't been there but I'm def going to check them out. They were highly recommended to me from a very reliable source.

Re: Sugar Plum
Yeah I have only heard great things about them. Have fun and let us know how it goes!
They were really nice, but way to expensive and the material is not great. My mom tried a simple, simple dress and they wanted $1,000.00 that was crazy. My mom got a much nicer dress for less than $500 for my brothers wedding. Pics in album. Check out My Daughters Wedding in Great Neck. They have amazing dresses.

Re: Sugar Plum
We looked there.
1) They cut the labels out of the dress, and sew in a 'Sugar Plum' label
2) They were REALLY pushy and lost our sale because of it. Mom found a dress she liked and wanted to buy, but she needed to bring my Dad back to show him. She just wanted his opinion. We were all going to come back on their next business day, and were likely going to place the order then. When we were trying things on, they said they would order a fresh dress for Mom since my wedding wasn't for a few months, then when we were walking out with plans to come back with Dad they changed their tune and said if we didn't buy it right then & there, they didn't know if they could get the dress for her. What?! I guess she was trying to play hardball ... too bad it bit her in the butt and they lost the sale for it!!! Bad business practices IMHO.

Re: Sugar Plum
I bought my prom dress there years and years ago. They have a very good reputation but can be pricey (from what I can remember).
