Suggest Hotels in Port Jeff area?

Hi Moms,
We need to block rooms for my daughter's wedding next June in the Port Jeff area. We are looking into Danford's, Radisson MacArthur Airport, and Holiday Inn at Stony Brook.

Any thoughts or experiences with any of these? Or can you suggest others in the area that are nice but reasonable?

danfords is $$$

by the airport? kinda far id think!

holiday inn is good..my mom uses their gym 5 days a week and she says its nice and clean! plus its close to port jeff!

we used danfords... they actually came in less expensive then the holiday inn... my guests loved being in downtown port jeff... especially the ones that flew in and didnt have cars... it was a like another mini vacation for them...

Lived in the area for many years. My advise..go with either Danford or Holiday Inn for convenience to your wedding locatation. Airport is just a wee bit far.

I used to work at the University nearby and often book visitors around the area. Did you also look into the Three Village Inn in Stony Brook?

Thanks everyone for your replies. Danford's wants $30 more than Hol.Inn and they wanted a 2-night minimum
(We got them to waive that.) I think it's higher b/c it's summer season.

We may do a block at each one, and let guests decide, if it's worth the extra $$ to be in Port Jeff. Neither hotel will do a shuttle to Lombardi's though

ETA: Someone told me Three Village gives priority to weddings at the Inn, so we might have to wait a little closer to her date on that. But I will call, great suggestion! Thanks!
