'suggested' donation - getting married in Church

I forgot to ask what the 'suggested' donation is for the Church I am getting married at. What is your 'suggested' donation?

The deacon didn't say it was suggested. He just gave us the price.

Our 'donation' isn't a donation........it's a fee, and they said it was just that, a fee. It's $425.

at my first church it was 500 plus music. our new church we didnt get the amount yet. should be around the same though.

Unfortunately ours isn't a 'suggestion' either. It's $650 and that is before Pre-Cana costs.

Our fee for everything is $1000. There was no 'suggested' donation.

Mine is around 800, but I think I am moving to FH's church which is 1,500!

call me naive but i never knew about donation/suggestions for church weddings until my friend got married.

thank goodness our church does not have that!

We weren't given a 'suggested donation' amount. But I would like to donate about $1000 to the church.

Crashing---

Our set 'donation' price is $750, not including precana and foccus fees - all totaling approx $1000. It's ridiculous especially b/c they forgot to call us about their precana dates so we had to spend extra $$ to do it elsewhere and they won't contact us back about setting up a final meeting.... oh and I'm 19 days away
