suggestions for photographers that can work with 1500 budget
I like the style of perceptions, imagine and i'm looking for a photographer that can be with us up to five hours, no albums. I want great photos but that is my budget. any suggestions and if any knows the prices for those photographers and creative compositions also. and if they are out of my range, can you recommend someone with that type of photos.

From what I have seen on these pages, they are fairly well out of your range, ALTHOUGH it never hurts to make a call and find out what one photog without an album ccan be had for. You never know. It might be worth your time to check in with Nadine Graham, nsgraham, who had a budget website and is still around on these pages. She listed several folks in your price range.

Twelfth Night is within that range. I am using them next month. The work we saw in the studio was really nice and we had a great time doing our e-pics, which came out beautifully.

i was looking into them too, but i had a quick question... do they give you the albums and all that stuff,,, or do you have to go somewhere else to have them made? (their web page didnt say anything about packages... jsut having a photographer).. i think?

I think Duet is in that price range for photo only. If you email Nicole she will email you any packages they have. You can also check out the Duet Photography thread!

That's not including albums, but Dom gave us the option if we wanted. From what I remember, the 'Soho' style albums (which are getting popular now) were about $1700 but Dom said they were coming down in price, so we didn't contract for them. But we have the option of ordering them still.
He showed us some beautfiul albums- much nicer than the ones my brothers had made by their photogs. They were also less expensive, so I will most likely do the albums myself, since I'm crafty. Unless we decide to splurge on the Soho album for us.

There are several photographers on there, almost all under $1500. We recently met with (and LOVED, and are booking for our 9/10/05 wedding) Angelica Glass. For $1200 she stays all day, shoots film & digital, includes an engagement shoot, and you get proofs plus all negatives and high-res digital files. Her work is beautiful, and she was very down-to-earth and had a great sense of humor.
Anyhow, check out that link; there are several that look good...

Definitely 12th Night Photography!!!! We used them for our wedding and they did an absolutely amazing job.

My sister used Glenmar (2 years ago but) and her package was $2000 which included video. They may have a phtographer that does that b&w photojournalistic style but make sure you see THAT person's book and have THAT person in your contract otherwise you won't have any say over who or what you get.
I used Perceptions and his lowest package last year was $2500 or something like that but you may be able to work a deal with him.
From my experience, Creative Compositions will be way out of that price range and Imagine's lowest package was $5000 (they were my first choice) - and they didn't budge.

Did you go to Perceptions and meet w/ Anthony ? I think his first 'package' was about $1200 - but you could try to work w/ him on a customized package .........check it out.

I used pretty as a picture in brooklyn. He shot getting ready to almost the end of the reception. He was reasonable..1200 got us 50 8x10's in our album, and various sized enlargements. You can get parent albums for additional charge.

Duet is over $2500 for just the photographers and only an album for the couple.

actually when we priced them (DUET) about April they told us 1695.00..probably w/o the albums though...didnt check further...We wanted to have a back up for our photographer.

Their prices have gone up but there is a basic package for 2000(not including tax) that doesn't include the albums. That was their cheapest option. Your package for 2005 is now 2717 including tax.

I work in the photo industry (not wedding) and my coworker does weddings in your price range, no album. He as an amazing photographer. FM me if you want my to put you in contact with him.
