Okay... I checked with Envelopme.com. This is the itemized list of what the invitations I have in mind would cost. It comes out to 8.60 each invitation! Any suggestions on where else I can go to save some $$? As it is, this price is putting it together myself! (but the invites and enclosures would be pre-printed). Should I get some of the items from somewhere else that might be cheaper? Any suggestions?

Why don't you cut out the direction and accomodation cards? The hotel usually gives you cards to put in the invitations and you can print out your own direction cards.

You could always print your own envelopes, including the return address. With the right font an envelope printed on an inkjet looks just as professional as if the printers did it for you.
ETA: You could also buy the tape somewhere else, and probably cheaper.

How do you think that would look, if it doesn't match the rest of the enclosures? They're supposed to be different sizes so that go neatly one behind the other in the pocketfold, so just the title of each card shows behind the other one. Hmmmmm...

IMO, pocketfolds are just expensive invitations. Gorgeous, but expensive.
Would you consider something else? We got our invites from costco and they were less than $300.

Re: Suggestions for Saving $$ on these invites:
We are doing DIY pocketfolds and here's what we did to save $$ (150 invites total):
-We got blank invites and printed on them ourselves.
-No foiled liner (the envelope just gets thrown in the garbage).
-Printing the return address on envelopes ourselves.
-Printed our own vellum overlay with our picture on it (just bought tracing paper and fed it through the printer... FI thought of that!)
-Bought white cardstock paper at Staples for $12 or $15 for 250 sheets and cut the 150 direction & accomodation cards ourselves and printed on them.
We figured out the sizes for the direction and accomodation cards so they fit in the pocketfold and you can see each one is stacked.
I'll have to post pics of our final product one of these days.
ETA: I think we spent less than $500 on everything (not including stamps)!

You can also save $$$$ on the reception card and prin the info on the invite itself. That's what we did to save $$$.

Re: Suggestions for Saving $$ on these invites:
wow that seems like a lot for 100 sets of invites. Try Lion In the Sun. I got letterpress invites for 8.00 a set. Had it been thermography it would have been a LOT less.

What about using smaller pocketfolds? 5x7? I know if you go smaller its usually cheaper. Also, You should try Pippy Sweets. She is half that prices for pocket folds. She sent me a sample in the mail which was really nice.

Re: Suggestions for Saving $$ on these invites:
eliminate the direction & accommodations card -- your hotel/reception hall can provide those free of charge (or should, anyway.)
