Suggestions from curly haired girls...

What hair salon/stylist do you go to? Not for wedding day hair, although will eventually need that too. I'm sick of my hair, its been the same forever. I have spirally curls (think Keri Russel from Felicity) and cant find someone who knows how to cut it! i want a makeover! any suggestions???

Curly2003, Lizlen2003 and I go to this girl in Westbury to do our hair and she is absolutely amazing. Liz used her on her wedding day and she did a stunning job. Curly will be using her in Sept but gets her hair done almost weekly and straightens it out perfect. I have this very thick curly hair and Leiny (the sylist) blows out my hair perfect and it last for more than a week if I let it be. I go to her almost every week. If you are interested let me know.

NLP also used her for her wedding day.

Ladies her name is Leiny.

Celis Unisex Beauty Salon
152 Post Ave
Wesbury, NY 11590

516-876-8110

Only make an appt with her, she is the best there. I have long layers and when I got it cut twice she knew exactly what I was looking for. Ever since she took over my hair I am always receiving comments.

The bad thing is she will be going away from 8/13 to 8/27 on vacation but will be back.

I use to go to a place in Freeport also until Curly introduced me to Leiny. Thanks Curly!!

I am sooooo excited! I go to Freeport now. I have the worst hair but love it straight! Where in Freeport? Ninas or XOXO???

Re: Suggestions from curly haired girls...

I think the name was Bella's in Freeport if I am not mistaken. They did my hair ok but it was a pain in the butt to get to and even if you did make an appt I would wait hours. With Leiny I never wait, I make an appt and she is usually ready to take me.

Very cool. Very few people can blow out my hair :) I'm sure you understand. Thanks again.

Re: Suggestions from curly haired girls...

JCBRide, the Maximus I go to is in The Source Mall in Westbury, but I think there's another one on in Merrick. I always go to Michela, she's got really curly hair herself and knows how to cut it well. The only thing I don't like about the place is that it's very impersonal... so she'll be working on a few people at one time. If I'm going to pay upwards of $65, I want some more attention

Re: Suggestions from curly haired girls...

She is a pro...she can do whatever you want. Just go in and talk to her, she can probably even give you ideas.

I know exactly what you are talking about Karissa, I sometimes use to wait to cut my hair until I went to PR on vacation so my aunt can do it. Nobody knew how to deal with my hair especially here in LI, I use to even go into the city to like Harlem to get my hair done at times.

Re: Suggestions from curly haired girls...

So funny, I have driven to Queens from LI to get it done :) Well, I'll let you know how it goes!!!
