Suggestions needed for my DIY card box

I want to do a DIY photocard box. Kim had bumped a thread with how to make it (thank you sooo much!) but i would like your opinions on 3 things.....

What size frames would you use? 8x10? bigger? am I going too big if i am just going to attach the frames together.

Can I also use a box and wrap it with fabic and attach photoframes to it, like 5x7s? Would I use a regular card board box? Is it sturdy enough?

I amgoing to use foam for the top, but do I just wrap that seperatley so i can detach it easy to take the cards out?

i am going to put either one on a lazy susan.

A cardbox sounds like a good idea. Like the type that you would use to send mail, if its sturdy enough to go though the post office, it should hold up as your photobox.

suggest that the overall size of the box be on the large size since most cards that your guests might give you will have the dimensions 4x6, 5x7 or 4x9 size. you want to make sure that there is enough room for the cards to fall down into the box.

Do you plan to keep the box? if so, a detachable top might be best, but if you just want to use it as decoration for the wedding then the flaps on the cardboard box could fold down to be the top and you can tape it up so that all the contents will be secure and in one place.

We used 4 8 x 10's that FH put together with metal brackets. It was really sturdy. I'm not sure how it would work if you attached frames to a box.

We used foam for the top and wrapped it in fabric and hot glued it on the top-- but not too securely. Just enough to keep it on, but we were able to pop it off the next day to get the cards out.

I like the idea of a lazy susan, but I never got around to it.
