Okay... ya know that grand entrance a bride is supposed to make before the walk down the aisle? Ya know when everyone in the church is waiting to see what the bride will look like when the church doors open? Well, my church (St. Edward's in Syosset) has all GLASS doors in the back of the church, where I'll be walking in. That means they will be able to see me make last minute hair and veil adjustments before the walk down the aisle! Any suggestions of what I can put in front of the doors (aside from stapling curtains into the church walls) to 'hide' me? Am I being ridiculous? lol I swear I'm not a bridezilla!

Re: Suggestions, please!
my synagogue has a freestanding moveable small wall that we'll stand behind so no one will see us before we enter the sanctuary.
ask your church if they have something like that.

Step to the side of the door and do last minute adjustments then have the doors opened when you are all ready and make your entrance

i agree with the small wall thing...perhaps you could make sure you are well out of sight in a room...and this may sound crazy, but if you have to walk around where the glass is and people can see, have someone carry a sort of 'wall' to cover you.
have you asked your church about this? i'm sure you are not the 1st bride to have issues about this!

Re: Suggestions, please!
Maybe have the two limo drivers face forward behind the doors,
Obviously let your bridal party go, when they are done have the limo drivers face the glass doors, walk up behind them, tell them when you are ready...then in unison they can step aside and open the doors, so that way you are not visible the whole time.
Hmmm.....this is a tough one girls..sorry if I am not much help

Re: Suggestions, please!
what about a folding screen? I think you can get one in ikea and i know they have them in other places. You could also decorate it like a pciture board and display it at your wedding or have guests pin their well wihes for you onto it during the reception....im sure theres lots of things like that ou could do to make it work for boththe ceremony and afterwardsif you choose to.

I agree that having the limo drivers stand in front of the doors or if possible stand to the side. At my church the doors are not completely glass, but you can see through some of them- my sister stood off to the side and I'm going to do the same thing. Good Luck.

Ya know... that's not a bad idea. You're good! If we can't get a moving wall, we may have to have a human wall! lol. I was also thinking of investing in some sort of screen or room divider. The problem with my church is (no offense, God) is that the WHOLE back area is made of multiple clear glass doors... there's nowhere to hide! lol Thanks for all the suggestions! They're good ones! It's nice to know there's a place we can all go to with our silly concerns, and not feel so silly!

my church Has glass doors - but there is a room right to the side - for my sister's wedding she hid in there and when it was time she walked out from the side room.

My church had glass doors, but stairs up to the glass doors. I stood at the bottom of the stairs until right before my entrance and it worked out fine.

Yes. Thing is if doors are glass or not, they'll be open for your BM entrance so no matter what you need to stand away. I would suggest standing to the side and don't start walking until your entrance music so people just see you walking in.
