Suit Vs. Tux

Anyone else choosing to have the men wear suits instead of tuxes? Where are you renting them from?

Suit Vs. Tux

I think we're going to do suits so fh can personalize it a little more...also he wants light gray which doesn't seem like a common tux color.
I'm SO at a loss for where to rent. FH is definitely 'super slim' fit. When he has rented from MW & other places for other weddings, even with their 'alterations ', they always look too big :(
(Sorry this isn't helpful lol)

Suit Vs. Tux

We are doing suits probably from Karako. FH was in a wedding last year and they were really nice suits and it was cheaper to buy them than renting so we'll prob do the same.

Suit Vs. Tux

Tuxes, our wedding is black tie. We rented from Esquire tuxedos in Merrick, I would highly recommend them.

Suit Vs. Tux

I love suits for the groom and groomsmen but I think its easy for the guys to either buy or use suits they already own. FH was in a wedding that requested all the guys wear grey suits and all of them already had suits that worked.

Suit Vs. Tux

We haven't done too much research yet, but all of my guys are going to wear suits.

We're going to check out RSVP in Bay Shore, K&G in Farmingdale and probably Karako.

Suit Vs. Tux

FH wants to do a suit. He'll probably end up buying his because that way he can have it perfectly altered, and have a good suit for the future. I think he's leaning toward Tuxedo Park.

Suit Vs. Tux

I saw a commercial today for Jos A Bank suit store. They are running a sale: Buy 1 suit, get 2 free. Not sure if this helps anyone doing suits!

Suit Vs. Tux

We're doing tuxedos but for those looking to do suits, fh was recently able to go to karako and did a deal where he paid for one suit (I think around $600-700 in the end after alterations going with the middle of the road suit) then got two more suits, three shirts, three ties, three pairs of socks, and three belts. Not bad for $700! A great idea for bridal parties to be able to split it!

This! Same here. FI was best man at my sister's wedding (her husband is his best friend) and they got a great deal at Karako after shopping around elsewhere. I think he wants his guys to wear grey suits and for him to be the only one in a tux (white or grey).

Suit Vs. Tux

Any other recommendations for a slim fit suit/tux besides Vera Wang? FH is 6'1' and just under 170 lbs... He has the hardest time finding suits!
