Suits for the Groom/Groomsmen

I want the guys to wear suits instead of atux. Including my fiance there are 6 guys we need to get suits for..Is it too early to take the guys suit shopping next month if my wedding is in September?

they told me (at ricos in center moriches) that you only need 3-4 months if buying. 1-2 if renting
