summer brides

Question: where do u plan on going for ur honeymoon?

I told my mother how we wanted to do a 5 day cruise in the caribbean and then 5 days at a resort and her response was 'it's hurricane season' so for those ladies going to islands, where are u going and r u worried about the weather?

We are taking a RC cruise out of Puerto Rico. I think its Southern Carribean so we are clear from hurricanes

we're either doing 17 days in Europe or 10 days in Peru- but if we do Peru we will wait until Oct because its too cold there to go during our summer

I'd steer clear of the cruise if you didnt book it yet. I went on a 5 day one during hurricane season 2 years ago and it was rocking like crazy

We haven't booked anything yet but I'd like to go to Disney and then take a cruise from FL to the bahamas because I'd really love to go to Atlantis. FH and I are kids at heart ..

We're also looking at Aruba, I know its one of the few islands under the hurricane belt so they never get hit..i've heard so many great things about Aruba too

As for the cruise, its very iffy during hurricane season. 3years ago FH and I went on a 8day cruise out of NY, and we couldn't stop at one of the ports because there was a tropical storm..That being said, it was still the BEST vacation I've been on..,we were still able to go to two other ports and we loved the food and the shows on the ship.

I was totally worried about hurricane season - I would say book your honeymoon but get insurance or...go to Hawaii, Aruba or Europe to avoid the hurricane season. We decided on Greece.

We are going to Hawaii...but Aruba never gets hit with hurricanes, so if you are worried about that (and don't want to spend a lot of money), try Aruba.

I'm more 'end of summer' but we booked our honeymoon in Bermuda. I did a lot of weather research just to be sure that we weren't going to get insane storms. Well, to my pleasant surprise, August and September turned out to be the BEST times to travel there. It's always a risk that we'll have poor weather, but now at least I know it's a very small risk. I seriously can't wait.
