Just wondering what dress material the summer brides have chosen or will be choosing for their bridesmaids. My wedding is June 24th and I like satin, but I am unsure if this is too thick for a summer wedding as compared to organza, etc.
Any thoughts?
TIA!

Re: Summer brides - Bridesmaid dress material
mine are wearing silk organza. i was in a summer wedding last year and I had to wear a polyester dress, it was not very comfortable. I think thepolyester should be worn in the colder months, as it is a thicker material

Yes dont do Taffeta, I had to wear it for my sister's wedding in July and we were dying. We had to air ourselves off before pics s the sweat marks would go away.
My girls dresses are chiffon.

Re: Summer brides - Bridesmaid dress material
you're getting married a day before my 2 year anniversary!!! ( we got married on june 25,2005)
our girls wore a sage green satin... it was really nice, becasue it was heavy enough and had enough shine that it photographed well, but it was light enough that the girls weren't hot...

Mine are satin and A-line, so they flow and offer air to the Bridal Party.

Thanks a million for the heads up on taffeta. I liked that material also as it kind of has a shine to it, but now, FUGGHETABOUTIT!!!!

Thank you to all the ladies who responded. Do you have pics of the dresses you chose? Please post with the type of material it is. I love seeing different ideas.
