Do you think this is too much for an August wedding???
Honest opinions.... forget about... it's your day... do what you want.... I don't want to feel too hot and have people say, does she realize that it is August...
I don't know if you will be too hot in it or not, but that is a gorgeous dress!!

Not at all, I think it's very pretty, is your wedding outside? Is that why your concerned you;ll be too hot? Have you tried on alot of gowns to see how they feel? I think you'll be okay, its a beautiful gown!

it is beautiful BUT... i got silk taffeta for the reason of being hot April 30.... i tried on the heavy silk satin and i was hot in the stores..... it all depends o you

I think they're really beautiful (I also prefer 2nd and 3rd). IMHO I think you should just go with your dream dress since you love it that much. If you are going to get a ballroom gown, it's going to be kind of heavy because of all the layers underneath but I don't think it's too much at all. Plus, if your reception is inside, they'll probably have the AC on anyway.... but you have to be comfortable of course. I just wouldn't worry about people thinking it looks odd for august - definitely not!! Good luck

If your going to be married outside- I'd rethink anything heavy - I got a silk satin that is amazing and i LOVE it ! - but i'll be outside for like 2 hours at the MOST. - (pics and cocktail hour) but by that time it will be 7:00 and cooled off.

It's totally up to you! The best way to know is go try on dresses, they are all gorgous, but when I tried on dresses, I couldnt imagine wearing a pouf skirt dress and walking around in the dressing room was difficult enough, I want to get up and dance and sit and move and walk all day so I chose to go with a non-bridal gown that is strapless and just flows down, doesn't have a train to worry about etc. It looks great and I felt more comfortable and it suits me more than the dresses I tried on. Yes they all looked amazing, I just felt like I was playing dress up. I didn't want the dress to wear me. If you know what I mean.
I have a huge ball gown I am wearing and it is in July. If that is what you want to get, get it. When else are you ever going to wear a dress like that????
