how about then doing a summer color scheme and just like the colors represent a summer theme. Also incorporate summer things such as pink lemonade or do a pink lemonade alcoholic drink and have that as your signature drink.

Here is a great site for ideas and color schemes. I clicked on July for you so the link will bring you directly to that. On the left hand side you'll see other months too so click on that for a ton of other pics

well your guests can eat it, you dont have to hahahaha. Most brides wont even get to eat more than half of the stuff being served.

You might want to look up nautical themed weddings, they are navy and white and since its nautical it will have summer touches too thrown in. Maybe pick up a few ideas

sorry didnt mean nautical as in navy and dont mean you have to do the nautical parts of it, not ships or anything, i just meant that you can use the color scheme and see how they did things BUT just the navy blue and white parts not the whole ship water part. You pick certain things and add a summer twist to it. Just pick little things here and there from many different things

Would you consider using a lighter shade of blue also? That can brighten everything up. As far as adding Army touches I'm not sure exactly what your looking for?? Unless you want to go with sort of an Americana, Red, White&Blue theme?? You can use mini flags as place cards, have watermelons...etc..

well the Army stuff we are thinking of as of now are FH and a few of his GM are going to be in their dress blue uniforms if we can get it a Arch of Sabers and a saber being used to cut the cake and our ice sculpture may be either the Army logo or National guard logo... other than that and a few guests being in uniform we don't want to over do the Army aspect of it.
