Today is my final question. Thanks again to Antonella for choosing me.
What kind of wedding dress did you dream of? (ball gown, mermaid, a-line, strapless, etc) if you already have your dress, was that the dress you said YES to? if not, what did you end up with?
This was the hardest part for me to buy a dress. All dresses I like were strapless and I didn't want to alter them into strapped. I did end up buy a strapless and I am hoping the tailor is AMAZING.
I have alway dreamt of a ball gown and when I tried it on, I felt like a disney piece from a game board. I didn't like it at all. I like Mermaids but I didnt have the right curves for that style dress.
I did like the A-line but I am very hippy so I ended up with a drop waist a-line. picture wont put, please check my album. **************************************************************
i will be announcing the new BOTW later tonight

I always dreamed of wearing a ball gown... I put on a ball gown and it just did NOT work! and I wanted my dress to have straps... I ended up with a strapless a-line gown.

I loved ball gown dress when I first started looking. When I started shopping I found that they were too heavy. I ended up getting a trumpet style dress made by Casablanca. Its light and I feel like I can move in it. Its perfect in every way!

I'm definitely looking for an A-line (maybe ball gown) dress! I'm definitely not in denial about what will look good on me and trumpets and mermaids will definitely be a disaster for me!
I'm LOVING James Clifford dresses but I have only yet begun my search. Then I stopped bc things go so busy with work. So far, my front runner is James Clifford J11009S! I LOVE IT!

As of right now I'm dreaming of about 10 Maggie sottero dresses, and I actually showed a few to my mom and it was the first time she said she liked some of the dresses I've picked out!!!
We've had a few 'tiff's' over the dresses I've showed her in the past, so it was such a relief to her like them. Now to play dress up, hope they look good ON LOL

Hi girls! Happy Wknd!
I always dreamed of my wedding but never had a clear vision of my dress...about a year before we got engaged I had seen a pic of a dress in a wedding magazine (my cousin was getting married) and I was like 'omg I'm in love with that dress!' so I cut it out and my style that I want has stayed close to the dress. I don't have my dress yet but I'm definitely staying with the same style, it's different and I love it!

HMMM well. I know I didn't want something that wasn't me.
I knew I didn't want lace because it's not something I like. Mermaid was out of the question because I want to be able to move and dance. Ball gown was hard for me to like because it was just too poofy and although it was something my mom pushed on me every single time we went dress shopping. I just didn't like the fullness and wanted to take the damn crinoline out because it made me itchy.
After trying on 80+ dresses, I found mine. It's an A-line, with a sparkly trim around the stomach. ( I wanted to stay away from the sparkles on my chest because that's not where I wanted people to be looking. LOL)
I loved the top of my dress because it was unique. (Pics are in my dress album) I love my dress because it has just enough sparkle for me, it's beautiful and fits well!

I haven't started dress shopping yet, but I have been looking online. I am not exactly sure what kind of dress I want, but I really want strapless and bling!! But I don't want it to be overpowering. I am soo excited to go dress shopping later this summer!!!

wanted a strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline and a dropped waist, and thats exactly what I got! The lady at the store was shocked that I knew exactly what style I wanted and actually liked it on!

I didn't know what the different styles were called, but I got the type of dress that I imagined myself wearing all these years. Guess its a ball gown, but it is an a-line.

most girls don't know a thing about wedding gowns before they start shopping. When I was a consultant my favorite type of brides were 'newbie' brides that had never been anywhere before. I felt that teaching was part of my job. Don't worry about the consultants!

Tina, your beautiful gown is a ball gown, not an A-line. A-lines do not have seams that breaks the skirt from the bodice.
Here is a site that does a decent job describing the silhouettes for anyone that is interested.

I'm not really sure yet. I really want a pnina but I don't want a huge ballgown and I'm not crazy about mermaid/trumpet so maybe something more towards A-Line. I want to sparkle to the point that I'm glowing though
