Sunday ladies

I'm having a shocker here...why am I suddenly contemplating a Sunday wedding? People have to work on Monday and who can happily drink on Sundays?? Am I alone here?

I chose a Sunday. But my wedding is on a holiday weekend so most have off on Mon.
If your doing a day wedding, then Sunday is fine!

Hi! Isn't your wedding on a Friday? Or are you saying you want to change it to a Sunday?

Yes, and I wanted Friday b/c I like to party on Fridays. But, Sundays are nice for weddings and, I could make a weekend out of it. It's not even the money cuz I think the price wouldn't change. Help!!

Have you considered a Sunday on a Holiday weekend? This past weekend was gorgeous... and everyone had Monday off.! Would you move your wedding up a couple months from August to Oct?

If you do an early sunday wedding it shouldnt be a problem.. people freely drink on sundays during football!

IMO sundays are great for a wedding unless you do the wedding late like 6pm ceremony.. bc then your guests will prob have to leave before the end bc of work the next day.

I have a wedding this sunday and its at 6pm.. I'll probably have to leave before the end bc FH has work at 530am the next day and we couldnt take off bc we took off for going to the jets game this week.

Maybe if I do during the day. I don't know why suddenly Friday is bothering me. I've always been sooo set on a Friday night! But, the idea of people having to work the day before and/or leave work early on Friday for the wedding is bothering me. I had a wedding 2 Fridays ago and it annoyed me that I couldn't get out of work early enough...I was late.

Re: Sunday ladies

were doing a sunday night wedding but it ends at 11:30 so i think of it as most people are also up until 11 or 12 sometimes later so why does it actually matter if there up at home or at a wedding :]

Re: Sunday ladies

This is difficult...but I'm really leaning toward a Sunday. My aunt pointed out to me that she works on Saturday, as do others, so everyone can't be satisfied. I don't want October b/c I hate the cold...but the Columbus weekend is a thought.

Re: Sunday ladies

:) This is tough..I dont know if you remember, but I was back and forth between Friday night (people have work Friday day and would have to rush to get there)..Saturday day (I didnt want my wedding to be rushed) and Sunday night (people have work next day). It was VERY tough..and if you recall one of the LIWERS told me I will never be able to please everyone, and boy were they right! everyone ALWAYS has a comment..

we went with memorial day Sunday night! This way people have Fri and Saturday to prepare HA and Monday to recover! I mean then I heard that people go away, so you cant please everyone..but im satisifed!

I tried to suite everyone..I couldnt..so i made the majortiy happy without rushing my wedding (i felt sat day would feel rushed IMO).

Everyone has a diff opinion of whats best! so go with what you think!

Re: Sunday ladies

I had Saturday day and changed to a Friday nite. Sat day would have prob been more convenient for guests, (unless they don't like to wake up early like me) but frankly as many of you said i can't imagine paying all this money for a day that I will never experience again (hopefully lol) and feel stressed and rushed and not get to enjoy my own party. So whether you pick Friday or Sunday, someone is going to say something, BUT the people who really love you and support you will happily be there for you guys whether its on a Sunday day or night or whatever. Do what is best for you guys!
