Is it appropriate to wear a patterned dress to a wedding? Do people tend to dress a little less formal at day weddings?

You can wear a patterned dress for a Sunday morning wedding. I think that people just do what they want...I'm sure you will see people wearing really dressy and some wearing less dressy dresses.
