Sunday Night Wedding

Original post by Cynny429

Hi everyone... I was wondering if anyone else is doing a sunday night wedding? I am having my reception at Villa Lombardi's and I really want a night time wedding but friday and saturday are out of my price range... The sunday night is from 730-1230.. do you think that is too late?
Also, my church ceremony starts at 3pm. I know there will be a large gap but it gives time for pictures. Does anyone else have a big gap? I would appreciate any feed back.. thanks soo much

I am having a Sunday night wedding. Our wedding is from 6-11, maybe 11:30 if we add a half hour viennese...
I really wanted to have my wedding at the RH I chose, but I couldn't afford to do it on a Sat night, there was a 40 dollar per person difference!! The Sat night wedding was one thing I said I would never budge on, but I clearly I have changed my mind...
I would have done it the sunday before memorial day, but they were charging sat night prices anyway. We are going to block out hotels nearby, all of our friends and family (the ones who like to party at least) are going to take that Monday off of work and stay at a nearby hotel. I'm sure there will be people who will leave early or not drink/dance as much as they would if it were a Sat night, but I know that all the people that REALLY matter will be there till the end.

Really? when we went to JT we were looking at all the weekends in May, they also suggested the sunday before memorial day and it was cheaper than a saturday nigt.

Yeah, that was going to be my plan, but they charged Sat night prices. I think it worked out for the best though because I had a few people who told me after I booked my date that they felt doing it on Memorial Day weekend would have been a huge inconvenience.

Anything that you send out with the date on it (especially if you are sending out STDs) should say the day and the date, that way people are sure to know that it's a Sunday.

e.g. - I am getting married on a Friday so my STDs will say 'Friday, March 28, 2008'.

what date are you looking at? If you do the sunday before labor day...its like a saturday...or any other holiday like that...and that might save you money and u don't have to worry about the day after since ppl have off.

I'm having the same thing. Sunday until 6:30. As long as you give everyone time to make arrangements it shouldn't be a problem. Sunday night weddings are becoming popular because the price difference.

My friend is having hers there on a sunday night. She is paying for her wedding so she was trying to save money and decided to do the sunday wedding.

I'm having a Sunday night wedding too. We just got engaged and wanted to marry this summer, so a lot of places were booked already...we ended up with a Sunday that way...The more I think about it though, the more I loooooove the idea. Since you have so much time, I would try to book on a sunday of a three day weekend...perfect!
