Sunday or Monday (holiday weekend) brides - 09-er Q

09'er crashing with a question -- anyone out there who got married or is getting married on a Sunday of a regular weekend or a Monday of a three -day holiday weekend? Did you get discounts from vendors? I already got a decent discount from the RH, and I want to know how to approach/bargain with florists, DJs, photographers, etc. I am getting married on a Monday of a 3-day weekend, haven't run into anyone else with my wedding date.

Im getting Married 5/25 - sunday the day before memorial day weekend and im having a night reception. The RH gave me a great deal - but the other vendors I dont believe - rates for other venfors seem to be pretty standard!

I'm getting married the day before columbus day (sunday) & the RH pricing was better- but no discount on the other vendors- in fact, it seems to be such a popular date that they book up faster

I'm getting married on a Sunday of a regualr weekend and the RH was cheaper. The only other vendor that gave us a discount was the limo because it's a Sunday in November (an not-so-popular month). Other than that, no other discounts.
