Is anyone else having a Sunday night wedding? I feel like I am the only one and people keep telling me that people won't show up because it is a Sunday. I am getting nervous and I think it is too late to change day since we already booked. We chose Sunday because we saved money picking that day. Maybe I should change it to a day wedding? Help!

I'm doing a Sunday night. We're only just starting to get responses back, but so far it hasn't been an issue. At least not that people are telling me about. Hopefully people won't come and then bail early. I'm a little concerned about that, but it was the best way to get everything we wanted at a price we could afford. We'll just have to make sure that the party is so much fun that nobody can bear to leave!!

I'm also on a Sunday. I didn't send out invites yet but the save the dates went out months ago and nobody has mentioned it being a problem. We did Sunday because it's the one yr of our engagement.

We are doing a Sunday afternoon wedding. It was closer to our budget but we also have a 2 1/2 year old and didn't want anyone to have to worry about taking care of him later into the night. Im a little concerned that people wont be in a party mood so early in the day. But everyone keeps telling me not to worry.

I'm having a sunday night wedding on a holiday weekend. But I went to a sunday night wedding on a regular weekend and it was fine. Most people stayed till the end.

We are having a Sunday night wedding on a non holiday wknd and so far we haven't had any issues. We also chose a Sunday to save money and having it during the day just wasn't an option I liked for various reasons. We had the same concerns when we 1st booked but we quickly got over it. Those who truly matter will be there no matter what the day is. Those who won't come or can't come that is fine with us. Less ppl we will have to pay for lol

We are having a Sunday evening wedding, our reception ends at 11pm though. Most of our guests are OOT, but it hasn't been an issue to anyone I've mentioned it to. So yeah, the people who really matter will stay till the end, and that's all I care about..

I am not having a Sunday night wedding but I have atteneded a Sunday night wedding and it was great! We danced and had a good time. I didn't stay until the very end (I left around 11pm) but the majority of the people came and had a great time. You will be fine!

we are having a Sunday night wedding in 27 days lol. Our ceremony is at 6pm and cocktail hour starts at 6:30. the reception will end at 11:30pm. we needed to do this to save money. We invited about 265 guests and have about 200 people coming.
i've been to more then one Sunday wedding, i've also been to 2 Thursday night weddings! People understand how expensive it is and will not fault you for deciding to have a sunday wedding. Personally if you think you won't like it on a Sunday night then go by that to change it, not because a few people here and there don't want to go to a wedding on a Sunday. They'll get over it.

I'm having a Sunday wedding, but it's on Memorial weekend- I booked it for the same reason as most of you: because it was a little cheaper. We are having a late wedding though (ceremony at 3:30 at the church, then reception from 7pm-12am) because everyone is off on Monday

People are always looking for an excuse to take off on a Monday and extend the weekend in my opinion. I think Sunday weddings are very common and I wouldn't stress. If people have notice they will make arrangements. Its one day! :)

I'm having a Sunday night wedding! People who need to travel would have to take an extra day off work no matter when I had the wedding, and the local ones will be there because it ends at 11pm. Those who truly want to be there will be, no matter what day of the week it is.

No way don't worry-people will show up! No one would decline just because of the day and if they do you dont' want them there anyway! I never complain or not go to a Friday or Sunday wedding-you don't have to ask me twice to take a day off from work!! lol

We're doing a Sunday late afternoon wedding. 3:30 ceremony, 4-5 cocktail hour, and 5-9 reception. We figured people have to go to work the next day, and a sunday afternoon will give us all of saturday to do any running around, and there's just a more relaxed feel to it, even though it's not a laid-back reception.
I honestly can't wait! I'm in LOVE with the idea of a Sunday wedding.

They way you have to look at it is the people who want to be there and want to celebrate your special day will be there no matter what day you're getting married. If people decide not to go because of the day then that's their loss.
