I'm looking to book my wedding on a Sunday Afternoon (12-5pm) in March (2003) at The WaterMill. Are Sunday Weddings more low key, does my dress need to be low key?? Anyone planing a March wedding? What type of flowers are you using? Thanks for your help! If I book this date I have alot of work ahead of me!

Re: Sunday Wedding in March
I feel like a wedding is a wedding no matter what day of the week it is. Unless you are having a smaller scale wedding and not one in a catering hall or something of that sort your dress would be the same as if it were on a saturday night. Not sure of flowers but You do really need to get a move on for MArch! hehe Though I whipped up my wedding in just 4 months It was WAY to crazy

Re: Sunday Wedding in March
My date is March 30, 2003 and it's a Sunday day wedding and I'm hoping that it's low-key, but not that low-key. I really didn't think about the day/time of the wedding when looking for dresses and deciding on flowers. It's your day, get the dress and flowers you want.
I've been to sunday day weddings that have been low-key and others that are not - guess it just depends on your guests and you.

Re: Sunday Wedding in March
I agree with the other girls. I had a Sunday afternoon wedding, and I picked the dress I wanted, the flowers I wanted, and the music I wanted. I think the only difference you might see as far as daytime/nighttime or Saturday/Sunday is what people wear to your wedding. I found there were definitely more people casually dressed at my wedding than at black tie evening weddings, but it didn't change the feel of the day at all.
Good luck!

I agree with the other girls - you decide what you want your wedding to be. I went to a Sunday afternoon wedding recently. I saw people wear long black dresses and some wore less formal dresses (but were still dressed up). The bride wore a white strapless gown and the groom and groomsmen wore tuxes. It was a nice afternoon. Don't let the time of day and year dictate the type of wedding that you want - it's your wedding!

Amy,
As the bride, definitely get the dress and flowers that YOU love...regardless of how formal or unformal it is.
This is your day...do what you want to do!
I've never been to a wedding where the bride was overdressed!!!
