So FH and I are going to rent an apartment for 6-8 months while we wait for the housing market to improve, but it is teeny tiny (great deal though) and we want a teeny tiny kitchen table for just those 6-8 months. Anyone know where to get a super cheap kitchen table that we won't feel so sad about scrapping later (when we can get a bigger table)?

My brother and sister in law got the cutest lil one at Lowes similar to this because they are in the same boat as you. It is outdoor but they figured they could use it in their yard when they do get a place. Super cheap and looks great with their apartments decor. I don't know if it would work for you but it is worth a shot to check out some small outdoor type tables.
Maybe I could talk my FH into giving you one we have in our basement that we aren't using. He can't seem to part with anything!!!

Thanks guys! We will definitely hit Ikea, Target and Lowes this weekend to see what we can find. We want something super teeny (two people table) so as to maximize non-table space and ideally something that would compliment a future outdoor set

Go to KMart or Target etc.. they sometimes have things.. or even the salvation army. Good Luck.

I just looked online this morning b/c I have HAD IT with my squeaky kitchen chairs LOL and I found great things at jcpenney.com and also target.com but it does say at Target they are not available in stores.

Thanks! The JCPenney Home store is very close to where I live, so I may go there. At Target, shipping is such a rip, I hate ordering things online
