What do you write on the inside of a wedding invitation response card? Can I write something like 'I'm so happy to be there to celebrate your marriage' or am I not supposed to write anything?

Re: Super dumb question
You don't have to write anything...
But a lot of people wrote 'looking forward to it' or 'can't wait to share your day'...
I got a lot of 2 accepts no regrets also...

Re: Super dumb question
One of my very close friends I wrote 'I am bringing 13 people, you dont mind do you'
and mailed it back. She called me up laughing and said I gave her a shock for about 10 seconds.
Normally if its someone I am close with that I've known for so long I put 'wouldnt miss it for the world'

Re: Super dumb question
I think it's nice when people write notes on the response card....I usually write some thing like We are looking forward to celebrating your special day.

Re: Super dumb question
I only wrote something if I couldn't attend (an explanation, sorry can't be there and congrats).

Re: Super dumb question
I got alot of notes on my reply cards, from those coming and not coming. Some had checks inside with a note if they werent coming.
Those who are coming wrote in the accept with pleasure line, they inserted words like GLADLY, WOULDN'T miss it etc. It's really nice.

Duh! You can write anything you want. I think your suggestion sounds lovely. V&S03 told me that when she got her first response with a nice note in it, she actually cried! This response was from a person that is not even that close. Then again, V&S03 has got problems!

Re: Super dumb question
I didn't realize people put messages on response cards - doh!
FH and I have a ridiculous stuffed animal collection that we get teased about. For FSILs RSVP card we wrote down the names of all our animals (30 of them and yes, they all have names, we have problems) and checked off accepts. FMIL was the one to actually open the card and had a heart attack b/c she didn't realize it was from us and took the note seriously!

Re: Super dumb question
I received quite a few with little notes. They basically said: we can't wait, or wouldn't miss it. Something to that effect.

Re: Super dumb question
We had a few people write things like 'I wouldn't miss it for the world' or 'Can't wait.' We thought it was very sweet.
I always write something...accepting or regretting...usually on the back or the inside...
except the one person in this world I hate...then I just checked the appropriate box

Re: Super dumb question
I don't think it was a dumb question either. I never thought about writing a note, but now I kind of feel bad that I never did. Next time I will certainly do so.
