Super last minute gut decision!!!!

Recently I had posted on here that I chose my venue, and that I had my appointment to put a deposit down with Windows on The Lake. Well the day I was supposed to be on my way to that appointment, it was seriously eating away at me that it just didn't feel right. I knew I was settling bc it was a good deal for the price. After not being able to get it out of my head all morning I finally decided to cancel and call The Riviera to see if they could show me around that day. Paul was amazing. He gave me all the info by phone because I wanted to know if it was in my budget before coming down. The price was perfect, so I went for a tour that day and as soon as I walked in I KNEW it was the one. Paul was wonderful to work with. I was able to negotiate an amazing price for a Friday night, AND he threw in a bunch of upgrades for free! All in all, I am SO happy that I chose to go with my gut!!! NEVER settle!

Thanks everyone! We are going for a food tasting tonight! I love that they guarantee their food OR they give back your deposit if you don't like it and want to cancel! I'm sure that won't happen, but it is definitely comforting!

I'm also a Riviera bride but March of 2016. We didn't do a tasting yet though. When should we do this?

You can do the tasting anytime you want, I believe. Paul suggested us doing one early because in our contract he guaranteed the food if we scheduled a tasting within 30 days of booking. If we didn't like it he would have given us back our deposit if we chose to cancel, but the food is delicious so we will be keeping our date!!

Thanks! I love this venue so much and I've heard nothing but good things about the food so maybe well do it closer to finalizing the menu. Thanks and congrats!

We looked at Windows on the Lake after we looked at The Riviera. We could not even compare the two. The guy we spoke with at WOTL was rude and pushy and thought he had the best place in the world. Paul made us feel like the place will be so much more beautiful because WE were there. He is amazing!!!

Glad you made the right choice :) (although I am terribly biased!!!)
