Is it bad luck to kiss your groom before the officiant pronounces you husband and wife? I keep feeling like when I go to walk down the aisle and reach my future hisband, we are going to kiss...I don't know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Superstition?
Sometimes I think the same thing!!!! It's just habit, but you'll be walked down the aisle by someone, I assume, and they're going to hand you over, so it'll be a little different!!
I guess before you walk down, in your head, tell yourself to hold your bouquet low and remember not to kiss FH!

I went to a wedding once where the groom almost kissed the bride, but then I think he thought he wasn't supposed to so he took her hand and kissed it instead. It was really sweet and everyone got a kick out of it.

Ya know, funny enough, I thought about that before the wedding. It's force of habit. But, DH was busy giving my dad a big old hug and then I kissed my dad and by that time we weren't thinking about smooching each other hello.

I think this is adorable! My nephew does this when we tell him to give a 'lady kiss.' Cutest thing ever

Re: Superstition?
I don't think I ever heard it as bad luck but one thing I did say to DH when we were up at altar was when the priest tells everyone to show a 'sign of peace' to not kiss me on the lips and to kiss my cheek. At my brother's wedding, they kiss on the lips and everyone started to applaud but that wasn't the moment they were pronounced 'man and wife'. I wanted to save the kiss for when it happened. DH kept asking me if he could sneak one kiss in LOL.
