Superstitions

As many of you know, I am going to try MY dress on today When I told my mom that I want her to take pictures today of me in the dress, she told me that it is bad luck

Has anyone else been told this???

My solution was to take pictures from my neck down

I was thinking of taking a camera when I go shopping, so that I can take pics to go over while making my decision....did anyone else do this?

I wish i could have, but the place i went to doesn't allow it. It doesn't hurt to bring a camera with you. The worst they can say is no pictures please. and hopefully they will be nice and say it politely.

i'm hoping after I've made my purchase and they know I'm sticking with them, they will let me.

I guess I will take pictures from my neck down this way you can't tell it was me in the picture hence no bad luck!

Is it really bad luck?? I see all these girls on here, posting their pictures of themselves in their dresses....I think they made it down the aisle ok

Have mom shoot on picture of you full length, so you can see it.. and if youwant to, delete it.. isn't only bad luck for the groom to see the dress before hand????

I know it is bad luck for the groom to see it, not like he even wants to see it But mom said it was bad to have pictures of you in your dress prior to the date...I thought she was nuts!! I need her to take a picture of me, I want to know what I will look like in my dress before the date..I will definately send the full picture to you, my MOH!!!

I never heard of that one. But there is the one about the bride and groom seeing each other before the wedding being bad luck, and we are doing that. I will probably take pictures when I go to try on dresses too.

I was thinking of taking a camera, when i tried the sample on...and KNEW it was it....but mom said no way...and i think i want to keep it that way!

well, i heard that a bride wasn't supposed to get into her FULL outfit because it was too presumptous and therefore could lead to bad things.

they also used to say that you should go to bed with your FH before marriage.......

I'm a little superstitious, but I'm totally going to take pics!
