Need your opinions. I am a singer. At lessons last week my teacher asked me if I planned on singing for FH at my wedding. I hadn't thought about it. Would it be more appropriate at the ceremony or the party? Any suggestions on what to sing? Is this a crazy idea?

I think it's a great idea. I'd probably do it at the reception...dedicate a song to him before or after your first dance.

if you want to do that, it would be more appropriate, IMO, to do it at the reception. i know some brides have done that before, i think it's a lovely idea (i have a little stage fright so i don't think i'd be able to but i say if you want to than go for it!!)

Oh, definitely do it!! I would say at the reception. I was toying with the idea of singing to FH but I am a closet singer-can't sing in front of people. OH, well.

One of my very good friends did this at her reception for her husband. It was amazing. The song was nice...It was a female rock vocal if I remember correctly....but it was the sentiment that she loved her husband so much that she would sing to him on their wedding day.

i went to a wedding where the bride sung during the reception to her groom -- if u say my eyes are beautiful (whitney houston) It was sooo nice!
