Surprise for FH....Please Help!

I'm going to get my FH a groom's cake of his car (his 2nd love next to me ).

ETA: I think all 3 of you ideas are great! What a tough choice. I love the 2nd photographer idea. If you were to choose 2, I would say go for that and then weigh whether he is more of a chocolate-aholic or music lover.

OMG! That is a wonderful idea....his car! I was going to do the JETS! But his b!tch....the car!!!

I also wanted to surprise my FH. So, on the sly I hired a BagPipe Player to play outside the church before the wedding and as we walk out of the church. We are both Irish and are going to Ireland for our Honeymoon and thought it would be a great surprise for him. I hope I can keep the secret another 2 months!

i was going to surprise my husband with one of those Cigar Roller people who comes in and rolls the cigars for guests during the dessert part of the reception.....but then i realized i couldn't afford it

That's what I'm doing! We joke that his car is a very close 2nd to me! Let me know if you havea good place to do that.

This is a very sweet idea !!

I'm trying to surprise him with a pocket watch at the RD, but he has been looking so I may have to tell him so he doesn't buy one on his own.

I think he would prefer a private surprise like that, instead of a public one at the reception (like a song dedication), but that's him.

My mom always told me the way to a man's heart is through his belly right??

Well I have three surprises for him..

As some of you know, FH is hearing impaired, so I plan to sign my vows to him.. I start classes in Oct!! whoo hoo!!

The second is the grooms cake.. he LOVES!!! fishing.. and boats.. so I am going to have them make a cake shaped as a boat.. I even have a pic of his favorite boat..lol

Last.. I am having our wedding bands engraved, as an aside..my wedding band is my something old, it's my mom's ring..(dad bought her a phat three carat three stone for her 50th bday, so she never wears her wedding band, and I LOVE IT!, so she was like I will give it to you for your wedding) lol


Anyway.. FH & I usually talk through im's or on the tty.. and when we sign off.. we always sign off xoxoxox, (hugs & kisses) so I was thinking of getting them engraved xoxoxo forever..and our wedding date...



ETA: Stacy.. you may not be able to steal any of mine, but the point is think of things that either he LOVES or something sorta personal in your relationship... those gestures truly mean the most

awwww I think you learning how to sign your vows to him is the sweetist thing I have ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would bawl if I were at your wedding!!!

awww.. well when I told my parents my mom got all teary eyed about it.. so I know if we make it to that point in the ceremony without crying.. that will tip everyone over.. hopefully it will mean the most to FH

It's such a good idea to surprise your FH, it makes me want to do it too. Some of the ideas on here are really great, but I don't think I could afford it. The breakfast idea could work...he loves breakfast...
